Additional Notes:

  • Only one default account profile is allowed per account type.
  • User profile visibility controls which users see which dashboards.
  • If the Account Timeline View is configured as default, it takes precedence over the MyInsights dashboard—but the dashboard remains accessible via the Sunrise bar.

This setup ensures reps are equipped with immediate, relevant insights at the point of account access.

Set the Default MyInsights KOL Profile

Enhance visibility into Key Opinion Leaders by preloading a custom dashboard each time a KOL Profile is accessed.

Configuration Overview:

  • New HTML_Report_vod record with Record Type: Default_KOL_Profile_vod.
  • Linked to the Account object.
  • Automatically opens the dashboard on iPad within the KOL Profile view.

This MyInsights dashboard replaces the standard KOL profile screen with a customised view showing relevant metrics like medical events, clinical trials, or sent emails.

Additional Notes:

  • Only one default KOL profile can be set per account type.
  • Admins can configure different dashboards per user profile to match role-specific needs.
  • Users can still access the native KOL screen by tapping the Classic tab.
  • To make this the default on mobile, set the DEFAULT_KOL_PROFILE_vod  Veeva Setting to 1. This will override the DEFAULT_ACCOUNT_PROFILE_vod setting.

This setup ensures MSLs and field teams have the most contextually relevant stakeholder data at the moment they need it.

Set the Default MyInsights Landing Screen

Make your Veeva CRM home screen smarter by showing a custom dashboard immediately after login—tailored to the user’s territory and recent activity.

Configuration Overview:

  • Create a new HTML_Report_vod record.
  • Use Record Type Territory_Insights_Default_vod.
  • Associate with the User object.
  • Displays automatically when launching the CRM app on iPad or iPhone.

This MyInsights dashboard replaces the standard home screen, offering a customised view into key data such as product formulary updates, clinical trials, recent marketing activities, and product performance.

Additional Notes:

  • Only one default landing screen is allowed per user profile assignment based on the Profile_vod field.
  • If multiple dashboards are configured for the same profile, only one displays by default while the rest appear as tabs.
  • Users can still access the native CRM home page via the Classic tab.

This setup helps teams quickly prioritise actions and insights right at the start of their CRM session.

Enable Sharing of MyInsights Content

MyInsights(X-Pages) content can be easily shared outside of Veeva CRM, making collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders seamless and efficient. Users on iPad and iPhone can export dashboards as PDFs using iOS native share actions.

Sharing via Press-and-Hold:

  • Navigate to a MyInsights tab.
  • Press and hold the tab for at least 1.5 seconds to trigger the PDF preview.
  • Tap Share to access iOS share options like email, printing, or saving.
  • On supported dashboards, a Shareable button in the bottom-right corner guides new users with an onboarding animation.

Sharing via Full Page Screenshot (iOS 13+):

  • Take a screenshot.
  • Open it in the editor and tap Full Page.
  • Tap Share to send via available iOS actions.

Developer Considerations:

  • Content is exported as static PDF—ensure layout is print-ready.
  • Avoid fixed pixel widths and CSS transforms like rotate.
  • Use media queries that include the print media type.
  • No pre-validation is needed for full-page screenshots, but it’s recommended for exported PDFs.

How It Works:
